Free Eye Screening in Sycamore
Do you have an entering kindergartener or older student starting school in Illinois for the first time this year? They will need an eye screening, and you can get one free at Friedrichs Eye in Sycamore! Not only will your child meet his or her school eye checkup requirement, you will have the peace of mind that your young scholar’s eyes will be healthy and sharp.
Dr. Jason Friedrichs wants all students to start the school year with great vision, so he’s offering free eye screenings to fulfill the Illinois state law requiring children to have an eye test before entering the state’s school system for the first time.
The law asks parents to have their child examined by an ophthalmologist or optometrist before their first year in a public, private, or parochial school in Illinois. The screening must be performed within the period one year before the first day of school through October 15 of the child’s first school year.
